Hortlands are experts in garden maintenance and planning. We have a wealth of experience in grounds management and some of our recent work is showcased below.
Whilst the hotel underwent a major restoration, Hortlands started work along side the designer, James Ogilvy Landscapes, to help restore and transform the hotel's exterior.
A varied project that included the remodelling a large soil bund into a more decorative arrangement and a semi-mature tree relocation.
This stunning garden has many amazing features including a Buxus box hedge maze which needed to be pruned and shaped to keep the clear, crisp lines of the maze.
Hortlands were appointed to take over a beautiful garden in Gerrards Cross. The customer had previously invested in a total garden re-design with another company, but were disappointed with the results a year after completion.
Hortlands were asked to prune and feed specimen topiary for our client in Buckinghamshire. The fine topiary pieces co-exist with an old converted barn in a large, mature, traditional garden that Hortlands maintain throughout the year.
This project required the clearance of a large area of brambles and long grass. Hortlands applied selective herbicide to target weeds.
A stunning estate in Beaconsfield that consists of a collection of large detached properties and a block of apartments. We maintain the formal estate gardens, roadways and front gardens of the houses.
A nine-acre site with many species of trees and shrubs, including a formal garden with ornamental lawns, a deciduous woodland with a path walk-through, and a large open area of landscaped grassland.
Hortlands were asked to provide a planting design for a garden bed in Gerrards Cross. We designed a beautiful planting scheme and arranged supply and planting of the beds.
