Beech Instant Hedge in Bath

This hedging project required the planting of a 2 metre high instant hedge in the beautiful city of Bath in Wiltshire. We used our instant hedge elements of Purple-leaved beech (Fagus sylvatica Purpurea), also known as copper beech.

Mr & Mrs Lethby moved into their new home and asked us to remove a Japanese cedar tree, Cryptomeria japonica and a badly planted and poor looking laurel hedge Prunus laurocerasus.

The local council approved the tree removal request, so we removed the tree and old hedges and prepared the ground for the new Purple-leaved beech, (Fagus sylvatica Purpurea) hedge. The end result was extremely effective and will continue to be for many years to come.
