Specialist installation of a collection of mature specimen trees as part of a prestigious landscaping project.
Working alongside award-winning chartered landscape architects Park Hood Ltd, Hortlands was appointed to deliver the specialist installation of a collection of mature specimen trees as part of a prestigious landscaping project.
The planting scheme featured eight impressive 6-metre-tall pleached hornbeams, alongside a striking multi-stem magnolia weighing more than three tonnes. Carefully selected for their scale, form and visual impact, the trees were designed to create an established landscape from day one.
Installing trees of this size requires meticulous planning, specialist equipment and an experienced team. Hortlands coordinated the delivery and lifting operation to ensure each specimen could be safely transported, positioned and planted with precision.
The substantial size and weight of the trees presented significant logistical challenges, but careful preparation allowed the installation to be completed efficiently while protecting the trees throughout the process.
Planting a mature tree is about more than simply getting it into the ground. Hortlands carefully considered planting conditions, positioning and establishment requirements to give each specimen the best possible start.
Our specialist approach combines horticultural expertise with practical experience in handling large trees, ensuring every installation is carried out with the long-term health and development of the trees in mind.
Bring instant scale, structure and character to your garden with expertly sourced and planted mature trees.
