Hortlands supplied and planted 20 semi-mature trees in Henley-on-Thames, creating instant structure and maturity within a large landscaped garden.
Having worked on several successful projects with James Ogilvy of Ogilvy Landscapes, Hortlands was delighted to collaborate with the team once again on an exciting landscaping project in Henley-on-Thames.
James’ thoughtful designs and discerning clients regularly lead to projects where our specialist tree planting expertise can make a significant impact. This project was no exception.
The project required the supply and planting of 20 semi-mature trees, carefully selected to bring an established feel to a large, open garden while introducing much-needed structure and definition.
Rather than waiting years for young trees to develop, the use of semi-mature specimens provided immediate scale and presence, helping to establish the framework for the wider landscape design.
“It is great working with Ben and his team. Ben has years of experience and they have access to high quality planting material. They also have the equipment and skills to do a terrific job.” James Ogilvy, Designer, Ogilvy Landscapes
The tree planting formed an important stage of a much larger landscaping project. Hortlands continues to work on the site, helping to bring the wider garden design to life.
The ongoing works include natural stone paving for paths and patios, planting smaller trees and shrubs, and professional turf installation.
By combining mature tree planting with detailed hard and soft landscaping, the project is developing into a cohesive, established garden with structure, character and year-round appeal.
Bring instant scale, structure and character to your garden with expertly sourced and planted mature trees.
