On Thursday 9th February the RAF Benevolent Fund held an annual memorial for The Father of the Royal Airforce, Lord Trenchard. The memorial was held in the RAF chapel in Westminster Abbey, and Hortlands were immensely proud to provide the wreaths that were laid in memory.
The memorial was witnessed by HRH The Duke of Kent, members of the Trenchard family, CAS Sir Michael Wigston and AVM Chris Elliot.
We made two wreaths in the significant RAF colours of red, white and blue, but instead of the traditional style memorial wreath we made them in a more modern garden style.
This is the third time we have been asked to make wreaths for the RAF Benevolent Fund and we look forward to working with them more in the future.
