Hortlands’ instant hedges are an ideal solution for privacy screening homes and gardens from neighbours, busy roads and walkways.
After completion of a newly laid driveway, we planted a yew instant hedge around the drive and along the side of the house. The property was adjacent to a public pathway and the new instant hedging created a natural privacy screen for the customer.
The hedge was created using our instant hedging elements. These plants are grown at a nursery and regularly cut to form cubed plants with straight flat tops and sides.
The elements used on this project were 2 meters high x 50cm wide x 50cm deep. We planted 19 meters in total. Yew is a slow growing plant with very dense, evergreen foliage. This makes yew the perfect low maintenance outdoor screen.
