Flowers for a Rustic Wedding

A beautifully rustic wedding at the stunning Lillibrooke Manor

Hortlands were asked to provide the flowers for Alice and George’s wedding at the gorgeous barn wedding venue, Lillibrooke Manor.

The brief from the couple on this wedding was simple. A charming, rustic, autumnal wedding using rich jewel colours. Steph, our inhouse florist, worked with the couple to bring their ideas to life and make their wedding dreams a reality. The bride and bridesmaids bouquets were made up from a mix of seasonal flowers dried accents. Each bouquet slightly different from the next, making sure they weren’t uniformed, and to keep to the boho feel of the wedding. The grooms and groomsmen buttonholes, along with table setting details, were made from home grown dried flowers from the brides family. Adding that personal touch.

The venue flowers were kept to a minimum, so not to take away from the character of the venue. Chunky wooden log slices were used as table centres, adorned with glass bud vases, incasing the rich jewel toned flowers and mixed foliage. Pinecones and tealights were then scattered to elevate the design. Alongside the tables were large vintage style milk churns filled with blooms, such as dahlias, roses and scabiosa in deep pink, burgundy and orange tones.
