This bed has pride of place on the main patio of a beautiful property in Fulmer, Bucks. It required a new planting scheme that looked great all year round, rather than the previous annual planting which was replenished yearly.
The main objective for this border was to provide the client with bright and bold summer colours. We went for pinks, purples and whites, which has been achieved by planting a mixture of Hydrangea paniculate ‘Little Limelight’, Salvia × sylvestris ‘Rose Queen’, David Austin ‘Scepter’d isle’ Bush Rose and Pervoskia ‘Little Spire’ to name a few.
With the addition of spring flowering tulips and summer Alliums the bed design certainly provides interest all summer long and beyond.
