Elmhurst required a fully automatic irrigation system with a larger water storage capacity to support the garden’s watering requirements. The system is supplied from two linked 5,000 litre above ground water storage tanks, giving the installation a total stored water capacity suitable for a larger landscaped garden.

Water is delivered through the system by a Lowara surface mounted pump with Hydrovar variable speed control. The irrigation is managed by a Hunter HCC Hydrawise controller, allowing the watering schedule to be controlled and adjusted through a smart irrigation platform.
A two wire decoder system was installed to support control across the garden. Rain Bird 5000 Series rotors and Rain Bird 1800 Series pop up sprinklers with R VAN rotary nozzles provide lawn irrigation, while Palaplast Paladrip pressure compensated dripline waters the planting areas. HDPE mainline pipework forms the core distribution network.
