Working alongside the award-winning chartered landscape architects Park Hood Ltd, Hortlands was appointed to deliver the installation of a collection of mature specimen trees as part of a prestigious landscaping project. The installation included eight impressive 6-metre-tall pleached hornbeams and a striking multi-stem magnolia weighing more than three tonnes. Using specialist lifting equipment and careful planning, our experienced team successfully positioned each tree with precision, creating an immediate, high-impact landscape while ensuring the long-term health and establishment of every specimen.
The project presented significant logistical challenges due to restricted site access and the exceptional size of the mature trees. To enable the installation, a temporary road closure was arranged, allowing a 120-tonne crane and multiple HGV deliveries to operate safely and efficiently within a carefully coordinated programme.
