One of the most prestigious and outright beautiful, gardens we manage are those of the estate owned by the Smee family. The grounds of their property are truly something to behold, we are extremely proud to say we have looked after these gardens for a number of years, and helped them to flourish into what they are today.
So when Leonora Smee asked our florist Steph, to help her with the festive flowers and décor in the house for Christmas, we were delighted. Even more so when we were told that Leonora wanted to feature the set up on her YouTube vlog!
The day consisted of Steph arranging armfuls of fresh flowers and foliage in the many vases and vessels that were at the house. These were then placed around the many different rooms and on both the kitchen and dinning room tables. Along with Leonora, Steph helped to style and dress both the tables with all the wonderful festive decorations they had to hand. As well as giving lots of florist hints and tips on good flower arranging techniques along the way.
Another key part to the Christmas décor were the bulb planters, made by Steph. These consisted of traditional Christmas bulbs such as hyacinths and muscari, planted in the Smees gorgeous assortment of planters. Each one was then adorned with mini pinecones, dried fruit slices and glittered crap apples for that extra festive touch. To accompany the planters Steph also provided a multitude of poinsettias, outside troughs with seasonal plants and festive door wreaths.
