Hortlands were appointed to maintain the grounds in an outstanding private garden in Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire. This stunning garden has many amazing features including a very impressive Buxus box hedge maze. As impressive as the maze was it needed to be pruned and shaped quite extensively to keep the clear, crisp lines of the maze.
The grounds maintenance team, alongside our specialist plant medic, treated all the hedges and topiary pieces with folia and drench feeds. This helped to promote healthy, dense, lush foliage. During this process our plant medic was also on hand to look out for any pest or disease that could cause an issue to the hedge. Unfortunately this can be very common in Buxus plants.
The hedges were then pruned and shaped by our specialist team.
Hortlands have maintained this client's garden on the borders of Northwest London and Hertfordshire since 2018. The team work off of a bespoke schedule all year round, consisting of one visit a week in the summer months, and one visit per fortnight throughout winter.
