Hortlands were contracted to implement a design by the award-winning Murdoch Wickham landscape architects, to this already beautiful garden. We helped create and bring the design to life with many areas of work covered.
As this was a particularly large project, it was split into phases. Phase one included planting many large mature table top trees, fine topiary, instant hedges and vast perennial borders spread over all 6 formal areas of the garden.
The second phase tasked our planting teams with planting over 60 mature native fruit trees in the existing orchard. The finished outcome of this was extremely impressive.
The team then added tens of thousands of bulbs in the surrounding garden at the front of the house and the French courtyard garden. Bulb such as daffodils, snowdrops tulips and bluebells to name a few.
The final phase is an ongoing one, once all the hard and soft landscaping was completed our maintenance teams have continued to maintain the gardens to the highest horticultural standards. This property and the family that own it have become great friends to Hortlands and we continue to work on smaller seasonal projects for them as needed.
Hortlands have maintained this client's garden on the borders of Northwest London and Hertfordshire since 2018. The team work off of a bespoke schedule all year round, consisting of one visit a week in the summer months, and one visit per fortnight throughout winter.
Here at Hortlands we have been building exceptional gardens across the Cotswolds for many years now, we are experts in horticulture and take our profession very seriously. So, who better to keep them looking their best and fully maintaining your garden than us?
