Hortlands were appointed for the installation of 170 metres of fully formed instant hedge at Buryfield Recreation Park. The purpose was to define the boundary of the park, and to include ground reinforced gap openings along the hedge runs. The new openings now direct people safely in and out of the recreation areas at convenient locations.
Our team planted the ever popular Fagus sylvatica / beech instant hedges. We also installed grass grids to reinforce the foot traffic through entry and exit gaps within the hedge runs.
Irrigation was also installed to ensure the quality of the new hedge. Dripper and solid pipework was fitted along with a automatic programmer and timer units.
Machinery that was used to safely complete this job: 360 Mini Excavator, Avant telescopic handler loader, 4 x Articulated truck and trailer loads (hedge delivery), 2 x Grab lorries (spoil, muck away and disposal).
Additional Equipment that was used: C.A.T. Buried Pipes and Cable Detector, Compactor Wacker Plate.
